Synchronicity - Bahamas Cruise 2022 - 2023 The Return -OR- Samson Comes Home

I am Pat Lynch from Annapolis, MD USA. This is an old school blog documenting my sailing trip to Bahamas 2022/2023.
Samson's Tale Samson (and his twin Nigel, they were carved from the same branch. He jumped ship for a friend when we got to Annapolis) came aboard in Marsh Harbor, The Abacos, Bahamas in 2004. He was made by a Bahamian named Nigel Sampson. Nigel hung out on the waterfront, carving things, mostly birds, and selling them to the cruisers. Since then, Sampson (the bird) has been aboard Synchronicity for every cruise I have made. But this trip marks the first time he has returned to the Bahamas in 18 years.

synchronicity	1.	A Jungian term for a meaningful coincidence that has a low probability of being a random or chance event.
	2.	An explanatory principle that deals with meaningful coincidences; an acausal principle that links events having a similar meaning by their coincidence in time rather than sequentially.
	3.	Synchronicity is the fifth album by The Police, released in 1983 (see 1983 in music). Their most popular release together, Synchronicity includes perhaps their best-known single, "Every Breath You Take". The album's title was inspired by Arthur Koestler's The Roots of Coincidence, which mentions Carl Jung's theory of Synchronicity.
